Why the Journal of Interprofessional Postgraduate Research?
The Journal for Interprofessional Postgraduate Research was developed to provide a peer reviewed journal for all faculty in the allied health professions who are involved in interprofessional education and to encourage faculty from all professional fields and work settings to conduct research interprofessionally. It is hoped that this research will establish best practices and evidence-based practices in interprofessional collaboration, education, and learning.
Another purpose was to provide graduate students with opportunities in a peer reviewed journal. These opportunities include: (1) having their early research efforts peer reviewed and possibly published; (2) to become experienced peer reviewers during their doctoral programs. The university where the graduate student is attending will be noted on the published manuscript.
The JIPR welcomes and encourages the following types of research: original research (quantitative, qualitative, and mixed methods), theoretical research, conceptual research, methodolgoies, case studies from clinical practices, pilot studies, collaborations, perspectives, evidence-based knowledge and practice, literature reviews, systematic reviews, and meta-analysis, innovative research in healthcare, research that adds to the value of interprofessional collaboration and innovation, multi-site research, and guest editorials on interprofessional issues, research, and practice. The JIPR will also provide a page for researchers to list their research in progress and also for researchers who are seeking collaborative partners.
The JIPR is open to other research categories and if an author has a manuscript that does not fit into one of the above categories, please contact the JIPR to discuss your project.
All JIPR content is free and is Open Access without embargo.
The published research in the JIPR is digitally archived by the Library of Congress and ERIC.
