The Aim and Scope
The Journal for Interprofessional Postgraduate Research was developed with the aims of: (1) promoting collaboration between health care professions and within professions that results in research and encourages improvements in practice; (2) providing a high quality peer reviewed journal for interprofessional research; (3) becoming the premier journal for current published research by both experienced and new interprofessional research teams; and (4) encourages both experienced researchers and doctoral students to conduct research and submit their research to the JIPR.
The JIPR hopes that interprofessional collaboration and research will improve and promote health and wellness in healthcare and patient care.
Interprofessional collaboration is encouraged between athletic training, audiology, chiropractors, dental hygiene, dentistry, health education, massage therapy, nursing, nutrition, pharmacy, occupational therapy, opticians, optometrists, physical therapy, physician assistant, physician, public health, radiation therapy, radiography, respiratory therapy, sonography, speech language pathology, and any other health care practitioner or provider not listed.
Open Access
This is an open access journal which means that all content is freely available without charge to the user or his/her institution. Users are allowed to read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, or link to the full texts of the articles, or use them for any other lawful purpose, without asking prior permission from the publisher or the author. This is in accordance with the BOAI definition of open access.
All JIPR content is free and is Open Access without embargo.
The JIPR has two research divisions: Experienced Researcher and Novice Researcher.
An experienced researcher is someone who has their academic doctorate and has researched and published a minimum of 5 peer reviewed publications.The experienced researcher will have their manuscript peer reviewed by other experienced researchers.
A novice researcher is someone with fewer than 5 peer reviewed publications. A novice researcher might be a new professional, new to academia, a graduate student in an academic doctoral program or a student in medical school. The novice researcher will have their manuscript reviewed by other novice reseachers.
The published research in the JIPR is digitally archived by the Library of Congress and ERIC.
